YNF DIVISION INFORMATION
1st Timer
First time competing on stage within any federation; first time on any stage.
NOVICE
Competitors may have competed within the last 2 years, but must NOT have won an OVERALL title within ANY federation.
MUM
Competitors must have had children to compete in any mum division.
AGE
Categories may have different age classes. Competitors can only compete in ONE age category.
HEIGHT
YNF has two height classes for all categories, other than angels, all swimsuit divisions and body transformation.
Female
Short – 163cm & under
Tall – Over 163cm
Male
Short – 175cm & under
Tall – Over 175cm

WOMEN’S CATEGORIES
FEMALE FIGURE
A figure competitor should have a high level of muscularity with excellent body conditioning.
They should have full shoulders and good symmetry.
Figure competitors should obtain a good knowledge of compulsory posing, to show their physique to their best.
Competitors competing in age divisions can only be eligible in ONE division closest to their age.

SWIMSUIT FIGURE
A swimsuit figure competitor should have a high level of muscularity with excellent body conditioning.
They should have full shoulders and good symmetry. 1⁄4 turns only – no compulsory poses.

FITNESS ATHLETE
A fitness athlete should have a well-balanced athletic physique; with a nice V taper and good symmetry.
They should present themselves in an elegant and stylish manner and poise on stage.
Important: Fitness Athletes can not cross over into the sports category. Competitors competing in age divisions can only be eligible in ONE division closest to their age.

YNF ANGELS
An angel competitor should be dressed glamorous and have an overall sensational appearance. An angel competitor should strive for a Las Vegas-style approach in their stage presentation. This is a fun category, so live it up.

MEN’S CATEGORIES
BODYBUILDING
A bodybuilder should have the highest level of muscularity and conditioning for a male competitor.
They should have great muscle separation and definition, with muscular striations. A bodybuilder should have a good shoulder-to-waist ratio. A bodybuilder competitor should obtain a good knowledge of compulsory posing, to show their physique to their best.
Important: Bodybuilding athletes cannot crossover into Classic Physique. Competitors competing in age divisions can only be eligible in ONE division closest to their age.

CLASSIC PHYSIQUE
A classic physique competitor should have an aesthetically pleasing physique, with a good shoulder-to-waist ratio.
Good conditioning and separation of the muscles. They should obtain a good knowledge of classic style posing.
Not have as much muscular maturity as a bodybuilder.
Important: Classic Physique athletes cannot crossover into bodybuilding. Competitors competing in age divisions can only be eligible in ONE division closest to their age.

MALE PHYSIQUE
A physique competitor should have an aesthetically pleasing physique, with a significant V taper, full shoulders and exceptional abdominal midsection.
Their posing should be fluent and confident.
Competitors competing in age divisions can only be eligible in ONE division closest to their age.

MALE SPORTS ATHLETE
Male sports athletes should have an athletic-looking physique with nice symmetry.
A good abdominal midsection and a nice v taper, showing a well-balanced body.
Not as full muscle bellies as a physique competitor.

MALE PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED
A Physically Challenged competitor should fit the judging criteria of the category they are entering. All physically challenged competitors will be brought on stage and judged separately.

MIXED PAIRS
Compulsory poses in an artistic routine.
Important: This category is only open to a Figure competitor with Classic Physique or Bodybuilding competitor.

BODY TRANSFORMATION
This category is for competitors who have transformed both their physique (not just with a comp prep) and their lifestyle. They may like the opportunity to step on stage and show their achievements and inspire others. This could be a stepping stone for these competitors to compete in another category further down the track or they may feel they are also ready now and are competitive enough to compete against other athletes in another category of their choice.
