Mixed Pairs

Compulsory poses in an artistic routine for mixed pairs in this Your Natural Federation bodybuilding and athletic competition.

Required Attire

The female competitor must wear a two-piece competition figure bikini.
The male competitor can wear classic trunks or bodybuilding style trunks.
Both competitors can match in colour.

Individual Posing

Group Line Posing

Competitors will perform a group line of ¼ turns to the right and 5 compulsory poses:

Side Chest (any side)
Side tricep (any side)
Front double bicep
Back double bicep
Abdominals & thighs

Mandatory routine consisting of 60 seconds

Mixed pairs competitors' routine should be performed in harmony and complement their physiques

A trophy will be awarded to the best-mixed pairs routine of the show.

Judging Criteria

Muscularity, symmetry and conditioning of both competitors.

Posing abilities to complement each other.

Important: This category is only open to a Figure competitor with Classic Physique or Bodybuilding competitor.

Send us music for your 60 seconds posing routine to contact@ynf.com.au, 2 weeks before the show and bring a USB as backup.

Important Information About Competing:

1st Timer's

First time competing on stage within any federation; first time on any stage.

Novices

Competitors may have competed within the last 3 years.

Mum's

Competitors must have had children to compete in any mum division.

Age

Categories may have different age classes. Competitors can only compete in ONE age category.

Height:

YNF has two height classes for all category’s, other than angels, all swimsuit divisions and body transformation.

Female

Short – 163cm & under

Tall – Over 163cm

Male

Short – 175cm & under

Tall – Over 175cm

YNF Competitors Are Saying

After seeing Davinia get the Elite Athlete award at YNF’s first show, I had the dream of accomplishing this for myself as a Figure athlete. I honestly did not think I would ever get the honour, so the feeling when this did happen for me was incredibly wonderful and overwhelming. The ethos of YNF as an all natural competition is keeping true for me the wise words of my father, that performance enhancing drugs are not worth the trouble they cause.

I’ve been training since 2006, after I was inspired by re watching all the Rocky movies. I always had a good hard work ethic, so bodybuilding tied in very well with that. I love training, and the feeling you get after a really intense workout. I’ve completed 7 times, winning 5 of the shows in my division with 2 Overalls, most recently the 2023 Season A YNF Overall Bodybuilding, and was invited to be apart of the Team as a YNF Elite Athlete.

Coming away from my debut competitive season having obtained my Elite Athlete status is a true honour and is something I’ll pinch myself about for years to come. Competing has reinforced my passion for the gym and I am eager to see what the sport of bodybuilding has in store for me. I am certain that no matter what it is the journey will continue to be enjoyable and empowering.

YNF was the best show I have been to. The staff backstage were so supportive, on to it, and helpful. The atmosphere back stage made all the nervous disappear as well! Best federation and will definitely be competing there again! love your work guys!

In my experience YNF Australia is a pleasure to compete. The company is very professionally run, top to bottom, with genuine people who are passionate about bodybuilding and ensuring the competitors have a great experience on stage.

YNF was one of my first shows I competed in. I was so blessed and grateful to have been a part of a new and amazing federation. YNF you made my time on stage such a wonderful experience. Your crew and backstage staff were honestly so welcoming and made everything run so smoothly. I look forward to stepping on YNF's stage again one day.

YNF was an amazing experience. The stage present each athlete individually, allowing for their time under the spotlight. The stage walk through smoke was dramatic and the amazing lighting allowed for perfect photography to capture every moment. Can't wait to step on the YNF stage again!

YNF FAQs

Why are there no crossovers?

We feel bodybuilding has become extremely complicated over the years, with too many crossovers. We have simplified this by limiting crossovers. We feel it will make it better for the competitors, coaches, judges and audience. Athletes will know which category fits their physique.

How do you guys go about control drug testing?

Drug testing is done on the day of competition. Athletes are chosen by judges. If a competitors test comes back positive, it is a lifetime ban from YNF Australia. For more in depth information about drug testing please head to terms and conditions.

What does the future hold for YNF?

Our goal is to not only have a prestige show here in WA but run YNF shows in other states and further down the track other countries, then we look forward to having State, National and World Titles. We know our passion for this industry will take us far in the Natural Bodybuilding world.

Which categories can do routines?

Bodybuilding, Classic Physique, Figure and Mixed Pairs routines are optional. We present a trophy for the best routine for these categories.

Where should I get my tan done?

Tracey Kaye and her team are our on-site hair, tan and makeup artists. With a high level of experience in tanning, they will have you stepping on stage with the correct shade to look incredible under stage the lighting. Contact Tracey Kaye to confirm a spot.
