Female Sports Athlete

A sports athlete should have a well balanced athletic physique; with a nice V taper and good symmetry.

Bubbly and sporty stage presence.

Required Attire
  • Competitors must wear the sportswear provided by YNF Australia, consisting of a crop top and booty shorts.
  • White sports shoes of competitors choice.
Individual Posing
  • Competitors will perform an individual I walk when entering the stage consisting of 1 pose at the back centre of the stage, then walk forward to the front line and perform front pose and side pose
Group Line Posing
  • Competitors will perform a group line of ¼ turns to the right, and will be required to walk to the back of the stage and perform a back pose
Judging Criteria
  • Lean & good symmetry
  • More muscular development than bikini athlete
  • Capped shoulders & back definition
  • Good abdominals & mid section
  • Good glutes
  • Separation through legs
  • Good stage presence

Important: Female Sports Athlete cannot cross over to the Fitness Athlete category. Competitors competing in age divisions can only be eligible in ONE division closest to their age.

To compete in more than one Division you will need to add each one separately.

Important Information About Competing:

1st Season

First time competing on stage within any federation; first time on any stage.

Novices

Competitors may have competed within the last 3 years.

Mum's

Competitors must have had children to compete in any mum division.

Age

Categories may have different age classes. Competitors can only compete in ONE age category.

Height:

YNF has two height classes for all category’s, other than angels, all swimsuit divisions and body transformation.

Female

Short – 163cm & under

Tall – Over 163cm

Male

Short – 175cm & under

Tall – Over 175cm

I’ve been training since 2006, after I was inspired by re watching all the Rocky movies. I always had a good hard work ethic, so bodybuilding tied in very well with that. I love training, and the feeling you get after a really intense workout. I’ve completed 7 times, winning 5 of the shows in my division with 2 Overalls, most recently the 2023 Season A YNF Overall Bodybuilding, and was invited to be apart of the Team as a YNF Elite Athlete.

YNF FAQs

Why are there no crossovers?

We feel bodybuilding has become extremely complicated over the years, with too many crossovers. We have simplified this by limiting crossovers. We feel it will make it better for the competitors, coaches, judges and audience. Athletes will know which category fits their physique.

Drug testing is done on the day of competition. Athletes are chosen by judges. If a competitors test comes back positive, it is a lifetime ban from YNF Australia. For more in depth information about drug testing please head to terms and conditions.

Our goal is to not only have a prestige show here in WA but run YNF shows in other states and further down the track other countries, then we look forward to having State, National and World Titles. We know our passion for this industry will take us far in the Natural Bodybuilding world.

Bodybuilding, Classic Physique, Figure and Mixed Pairs routines are optional. We present a trophy for the best routine for these categories.
Tracey Kaye and her team are our on-site hair, tan and makeup artists. With a high level of experience in tanning, they will have you stepping on stage with the correct shade to look incredible under stage the lighting. Contact Tracey Kaye to confirm a spot.
