Before registering to compete in a show, please join and become a YNF Member first, then register for either Season A or B in the state/s you want to compete in.

A fitness athlete should have a well balanced athletic physique; with a nice V taper and good symmetry.

They should present themselves in an elegant and stylish manner and poise on stage.

Important: fitness athletes can not cross over into the Sport category. Competitors competing in age divisions can only be eligible in ONE division closest to their age.

Required Attire

Two-piece competition bikini
Clear stage heels and jewellery of competitor’s choice

Individual Posing

Competitors will perform an individual I walk when entering the stage consisting of 1 pose at the back centre of the stage, then walk forward to the front line and perform front and side pose.

Group Line Posing

Competitors will perform a group line of ¼ turns to the right and will be required to walk to the back of the stage and perform a back pose.

Lean & good symmetry
More muscular development than bikini athlete
Capped shoulders & back definition
Good abdominals & midsection
Good glutes
Separation through legs
Good stage presence

WHAT YNF COMPETITORS ARE SAYING

After seeing Davinia get the Elite Athlete award at YNF’s first show, I had the dream of accomplishing this for myself as a Figure athlete. I honestly did not think I would ever get the honour, so the feeling when this did happen for me was incredibly wonderful and overwhelming. The ethos of YNF as an all natural competition is keeping true for me the wise words of my father, that performance enhancing drugs are not worth the trouble they cause.

I’ve been training since 2006, after I was inspired by re watching all the Rocky movies. I always had a good hard work ethic, so bodybuilding tied in very well with that. I love training, and the feeling you get after a really intense workout. I’ve completed 7 times, winning 5 of the shows in my division with 2 Overalls, most recently the 2023 Season A YNF Overall Bodybuilding, and was invited to be apart of the Team as a YNF Elite Athlete.

Coming away from my debut competitive season having obtained my Elite Athlete status is a true honour and is something I’ll pinch myself about for years to come. Competing has reinforced my passion for the gym and I am eager to see what the sport of bodybuilding has in store for me. I am certain that no matter what it is the journey will continue to be enjoyable and empowering.

YNF was the best show I have been to. The staff backstage were so supportive, on to it, and helpful. The atmosphere back stage made all the nervous disappear as well! Best federation and will definitely be competing there again! love your work guys!

In my experience YNF Australia is a pleasure to compete. The company is very professionally run, top to bottom, with genuine people who are passionate about bodybuilding and ensuring the competitors have a great experience on stage.

YNF was an amazing experience. The stage present each athlete individually, allowing for their time under the spotlight. The stage walk through smoke was dramatic and the amazing lighting allowed for perfect photography to capture every moment. Can't wait to step on the YNF stage again!

People ask us:

We feel bodybuilding has become extremely complicated over the years, with too many crossovers. We have simplified this by limiting crossovers. We feel it will make it better for the competitors, coaches, judges and audience. Athletes will know which category fits their physique.

Drug testing is done on the day of competition. Athletes are chosen by judges. If a competitors test comes back positive, it is a lifetime ban from YNF Australia. For more in depth information about drug testing please head to terms and conditions.

Our goal is to not only have a prestige show here in WA but run YNF shows in other states and further down the track other countries, then we look forward to having State, National and World Titles. We know our passion for this industry will take us far in the Natural Bodybuilding world.

Bodybuilding, Classic Physique, Figure and Mixed Pairs routines are optional. We present a trophy for the best routine for these categories.

Tracey Kaye and her team are our on-site hair, tan and makeup artists. With a high level of experience in tanning, they will have you stepping on stage with the correct shade to look incredible under stage the lighting. Contact Tracey Kaye to confirm a spot.
